Defender Andreas Christensen says that he is not contemplating an exit from Chelsea this summer.

Andreas Christensen has said that he has no plans to push for an exit from Chelsea this summer.

There has been frequent speculation regarding the defender's future over the past six months, as the centre-back has found himself behind Antonio Rudiger and David Luiz in the pecking order.

Christensen ended the season in the starting lineup, however, and the Denmark international concluded the campaign having made a total of 29 appearances in all competitions.

The 23-year-old would not be short of offers if he requested to leave Stamford Bridge, but it appears that Chelsea will not have to fight to keep the player at the club.

Christensen told reporters in Denmark: "I'm not wondering about my future now and I haven't done that for some time. I'm happy to be in London and, with the way the season has evolved, there's no reason to think about it anymore.

"I'm only 23, so it's probably very wise to stay. It's nice that there is peace and quiet and I can concentrate on playing football. I have always been happy but there have been times when I wanted to play more. If I can play as much in the future as I have done in the spring, then that's fine.

"The end of the season has really been as good as it could. I got a lot of playing time and we ended up winning a trophy, so it couldn't be better."

Christensen still has three years remaining on his contract at the West Londoners.
