Chelsea to get cut-price Higuain deal?

Chelsea may be handed a cut-price deal to land on-loan striker Gonzalo Higuain on a permanent basis, according to a report.

The Blues brought in the Argentina international on a six-month contract in January as a replacement for Atletico Madrid-bound Alvaro Morata.

Higuain has shown the odd moment of quality in his first four matches for Chelsea, getting off the mark with a couple of goals in the 5-0 destruction of Huddersfield Town a week-and-a-half ago.

Chelsea are said to be keen on bringing in the 31-year-old full-time from the summer, should Maurizio Sarri still remain in charge, and The Mirror claims that Juve will not stand in their way.

The Italian champions want to get his £270,000-a-week wages off their books following the confirmation of Aaron Ramsey's arrival, with the Welshman rumoured to be in line for a £400,000-a-week deal in Turin when he officially arrives.

Higuain spent the first half of the season on loan with AC Milan, where he netted eight times in 20 Serie A and Europa League appearances.
