Chelsea sign young Luton Town brothers

Young twins Rio and Cole Dasilva and their older brother Jay join Chelsea from Luton Town in a deal which could rise to £1m.

Chelsea have signed three young brothers from Luton Town in a deal which could top £1m.

Twins Rio and Cole Dasilva, 12, and their older brother Jay, 13, have made the switch to the Blues academy after five years at the Hatters.

Each brother reportedly cost the Stamford Bridge outfit an initial five-figure sum.

Luton head of youth Gregg Broughton said: "This is a historic deal to see three brothers transferred together.

"Following our loss in the play-offs last season we were told that the boys wished to look at other options, as was their prerogative to do so.

"And now after six months of uncertainty, we are delighted that they have found a club where they are settled and one that recognises the development work that Luton Town have put in over the last five years."

Luton say that if the trio make it to the Chelsea first team then the deal could rise to over £1m.
