Chelsea are reportedly preparing to tempt Inter Milan with a mammoth £110m bid for Romelu Lukaku.
Despite spending big to secure the signatures of Timo Werner and Kai Havertz in the summer of 2020, Chelsea are thought to be eyeing a marquee centre-forward signing for the upcoming season.
Borussia Dortmund's Erling Braut Haaland supposedly remains the Blues' top target, but the Blues could be priced out of a move for the £149m-rated Norwegian this time around.
Lukaku has affirmed on numerous occasions that he is not considering a move away from Inter, but Italian outlet Corriere della Sera claims that Chelsea are ready to test the Nerazzurri's resolve with a £110m bid.
The report adds that no offers have been received by Inter just yet, but the Scudetto winners' volatile financial situation could see their resolve broken over Lukaku, who scored 24 goals and claimed 10 assists in Serie A last season.
The ex-Manchester United and Everton man also netted four times at Euro 2020, but his first stint at Chelsea saw him leave without a goal from just 15 appearances.
