Chelsea 'prepared to pay £21m for Serie A defender'

Chelsea are reportedly prepared to pay £21m for Hellas Verona centre-back Marash Kumbulla.

The 20-year-old, who has scored once in 19 appearances for his Italian club this season, is thought to be a transfer target for both Chelsea and Manchester United.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side were allegedly recently told that an offer of just shy of £23m would be required to sign the youngster during this summer's transfer window.

According to L'Arena, Chelsea are determined to lure the defender to the Premier League for the 2020-21 campaign and are prepared to offer £21m for his services.

Manchester City and Inter Milan are also thought to be interested in the Albania international, who has a contract with his current club until the summer of 2022.

Kumbulla came through the youth system at Verona before debuting in August 2018.
