Chelsea are reportedly ready to join the race to sign Liverpool attacker Raheem Sterling.

Sterling's future at Anfield has been cast into doubt after he failed to agree a new contract with the Merseyside club.

According to the Daily Mail, the Blues are ready to compete with Manchester City and Arsenal for his signature.

Chelsea are thought to have asked to be kept informed regarding Sterling's position, and the 20-year-old is rumoured to be clamouring for a move back to London.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has insisted that the England international will not be leaving the club during the summer.
