Chelsea close to sealing Daniele De Rossi?

Chelsea are reportedly closing in on signing Roma midfielder Daniele De Rossi.

The Serie A side are close to striking a deal to land PSV Eindhoven's Kevin Strootman.

The Dutchman's arrival in Italy gives the Blues the green light to pursue De Rossi with a bid of around £11m agreed between the sides, according to The Mirror.

The 29-year-old will arrive at Stamford Bridge on a four-year deal and will earn £110,000 per week.

Roma are asking that Chelsea loan them their teenage Brazilian full-back Wallace as part of the deal.
