Chelsea close in on Brazilian defender?

Chelsea are reportedly on the verge of signing Fluminense defender Wallace.

It is believed that a £4.5m fee for the 18-year-old Brazilian has been agreed by both clubs.

"The negotiations with Chelsea are very advanced and the signature is almost certain," the full-back's agent Frederico Moraes is quoted as saying by The Sun.

Wallace signed his first professional deal with Fluminense last year following a spell in the club's youth academy.
