Petr Cech considering Chelsea exit

Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech claims that he may leave the club at the end of the season.

Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech has admitted that he could leave the club in the summer.

The 32-year-old has made just 14 appearances in all competitions this season due to Thibaut Courtois's emergence as the club's first-choice shot-stopper.

While he accepts Courtois's position as the number one at Stamford Bridge, Cech is eager to reignite his career elsewhere when the current campaign ends.

"I don't know what the club's idea will be. It looks like it works well with me and Thibaut as a duo," he told Idnes. "But that can work for one season only. I don't want another one like this.

"There always will be speculation, I leave it for the summer. It will be important to sit down with the club, with the manager, to consider all the pros and cons. We will see what will work out the best."

One club that the Czech Republic international has been linked with is current European champions Real Madrid.

When asked about Madrid's reported interest in his services, Cech added: "When a specific offer comes I will consider it. There are offers one cannot turn down."

Cech has won 14 major honours with Chelsea since he arrived at the club from Rennes in 2012.
