Wilfried Bony: 'It would be a great honour to join Chelsea'

Vitesse Arnhem forward Wilfried Bony says that he would be honoured to join Chelsea.

Vitesse Arnhem forward Wilfried Bony has said that he would be honoured to join Chelsea.

Bony is the top goalscorer in the Eredivisie this season, having hit the net 12 times in as many appearances.

The 23-year-old has recently been linked with a January switch to Stamford Bridge and he admits that he could be tempted by such a move.

"If they want me, it would be a great honour," he told Czech newspaper Pravo. "I would be glad to go to such a club.

"I love English football and wouldn't be afraid to play there. Chelsea are a top club.

"If Chelsea are interested in the winter and the clubs reach an agreement, then why not?"

Bony has been capped 13 times by the Ivory Coast at senior international level, scoring four goals.
