Antonio Conte: 'Juan Cuadrado will stay at Chelsea next season'

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte hopes to integrate Juan Cuadrado back into the first team this coming campaign following a season on loan at Juventus.

Antonio Conte has revealed that he has no intention of offloading winger Juan Cuadrado and instead intends to use him at Chelsea next season.

The 28-year-old spent the last campaign on loan at Juventus after failing to make an impression in the Blues' title-winning term.

Cuadrado fared better in Turin during his stint there by scoring five goals and setting up six more for teammates as Juve claimed a fifth successive Serie A crown.

Reports emerged earlier this week suggesting that the Colombia international was interested in a return to Serie A this summer, but Conte insists that he is a big fan of the player and will integrate him back into the fold over the coming weeks.

"He is a Chelsea player and I am waiting for him," the ex-Italy coach told reporters following Chelsea's 2-0 loss to Rapid Vienna. "He must come back very soon. He is in our squad.

"I am very happy to have him. He is a player I wanted in Juventus and now he must come back and start to train with us. Yes, he is Chelsea's player and he will stay with us. If something changes you will know."

Cuadrado made just one appearance for Chelsea in the 2015-16 season, coming against Manchester City in the Premier League last August, before being sent to Juventus.
