Agent Jorge Mendes: 'No chance Jose Mourinho will leave Chelsea'

Jose Mourinho's agent Jorge Mendes insists that there is "no chance" of his client leaving his job as Chelsea manager.

Jose Mourinho's agent Jorge Mendes has insisted that the Portuguese coach will not leave Chelsea.

The 52-year-old is under heavy pressure due to the Blues' torrid season so far, which has included five Premier League defeats.

Just six months ago, Chelsea were crowned English champions, but now they are four points above relegation after 11 games.

There have been rumblings that the club's board are deliberating over Mourinho's position as manager, but Mendes has claimed that his client is irreplaceable.

"He doesn't need to prove anything to anybody," Mendes told BBC Sport. "He knows what to do. Many people are saying these things but there is no chance [he will leave]. He will solve the problem. He is the best.

"The reaction from the supporters tells you everything. They like him - everyone, players, coaches. You have good moments and bad moments. It is impossible to find someone like him to solve the problem."

After four games without a win, Chelsea had some relief when they sealed a 2-1 triumph over Dynamo Kiev in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
