Chelsea and Wigan Athletic come together at the DW Stadium to mark the start of their new campaigns in the Premier League.

Wigan Athletic and Chelsea come face to face for their opening clash of the new Premier League season at the DW Stadium on Sunday.

The Latics, who have been buoyed by Roberto Martinez's decision to stay at the club following interest from Liverpool, are already believed to be battling with the Blues off the pitch over forward Victor Moses.

While Moses currently remains a Wigan player, it is unlikely that the Nigeria international will feature in the clash. However, loan signing Ryo Miyaichi, who moved to the DW Stadium from Arsenal is likely to get the nod.

Meanwhile, Chelsea boss Roberto Di Matteo begins his first season as the permanent manager at Stamford Bridge and could start new playmaker Eden Hazard, with Fernando Torres filling former striker Didier Drogba's boots at the top of the field.

Daniel Sturridge, who was forced to pull out of international duty with England this week, is likely to face a late fitness test but could find himself in the starting lineup this weekend.

Possible lineups:

Wigan: Al-Habsi; Ramis, Caldwell, Figueroa; Boyce, McCarthy, McArthur, Beausejour; Miyaichi, Di Santo, Maloney

Chelsea: Cech; Ivanovic, Terry, Cahill, Cole; Mikel, Lampard; Ramires, Mata, Hazard; Torres

Sports Mole says: 1-2
