How Tottenham could line up against Chelsea

Tottenham Hotspur boss Ange Postecoglou is sweating over the fitness of Destiny Udogie ahead of Monday's Premier League London derby with Chelsea.

The Italy international sat out his side's 2-1 win over Crystal Palace two Fridays ago due to a minor knock, which he sustained against Fulham a couple of weeks ago.

Postecoglou revealed earlier this week that Udogie had been making progress in his recovery, but the former Udinese man will continue to be assessed ahead of the capital clash, where Ben Davies is unlikely to make the cut.

The Welshman replaced his colleague at Selhurst Park but only lasted until half time due to an ankle concern, and having not trained in the build-up to the contest, he is considered more of an uncertainty than Udogie, while Ivan Perisic (knee), Manor Solomon (knee), Alfie Whiteman (ankle) and Ryan Sessegnon (hamstring) are all missing.

The latter is in with a fighting chance of being available to join Pedro Porro, Cristian Romero, Micky van de Ven and Guglielmo Vicario in a first-choice backline, although Emerson Royal is on hand to deputise if need be.

Yves Bissouma's return from suspension has pushed Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg back down to the substitutes' bench, and the Mali international will continue alongside Pape Sarr and James Maddison in a formidable engine room.

Dejan Kulusevski and Son Heung-min are untouchable in attack, but having set up the latter's strike against Palace two minutes after replacing Richarlison, Brennan Johnson has thrown his hat into the ring for a start on the left.

Tottenham Hotspur possible starting lineup: Vicario; Porro, Romero, Van de Ven, Udogie; Sarr, Bissouma; Kulusevski, Maddison, Johnson; Son
