Chelsea captain John Terry has claimed that the nature of his one-year rolling contract has helped him maintain his consistency for the Premier League leaders.
The long-serving Blues skipper's contract is up in the summer, but the former England captain is relaxed about the prospect of signing fresh terms.
"I think with the rolling contracts, it's fighting to prove yourself every year and it certainly helped last year that's for sure," he told Sky Sports News.
"It's important to say fit and keep playing of course, but I am doing that. I am playing well and the team is playing well more importantly. There's been loads of talk about [me and the club] speaking and it will happen.
"We know it will happen and we're very relaxed about that and last year being the first year to experience [the rolling contract] I was a bit nervy about that but now I am comfortable."
