Sinclair "never felt" like a part of Chelsea

Swansea City winger Scott Sinclair has said that he never felt like a part of the Chelsea team during his five seasons at the club.

Sinclair, who fired the Swans ahead against his former side earlier this week, left Stamford Bridge for the Welsh outfit in 2010 after making a total of five appearances for the Blues at the senior level.

"I'd much rather be at Swansea playing every week than at Chelsea where I only played ten minutes here and there," he said.

"I was loaned out six times and never felt part of it. My Chelsea time was very frustrating. It did not help that we had five different managers in my five years there.

"Leaving was a step I had to take and the best thing is I have a manager who believes in me. I took a pay cut to sign for Swansea and enjoy every minute."

Since arriving at Swansea, Sinclair has made 66 first-team appearnaces and scored 26 goals.
