Graham Poll says that the Football Association should ban Luis Suarez for the rest of the season for his bite on Branislav Ivanovic.

Former Premier League referee Graham Poll believes that the Football Association should ban Luis Suarez for the rest of the season for his bite on Branislav Ivanovic.

The duo clashed in the penalty area in the second half in the teams' 2-2 draw at Anfield, as the striker lunged and bit the Chelsea defender.

Poll said in the Daily Mail: "Luis Suarez should not have been on the field to score the last-gasp equaliser after he disgraced himself and bit Branislav Ivanovic in the second half of the Liverpool v Chelsea game.

"However, the Suarez biting incident was not. Now the FA must act and surely ban Suarez for the rest of the season."

Suarez has since issued an apology for his actions along with Liverpool managing director Ian Ayre.
