Pedro to head back to England after suffering concussion on Chelsea tour

Chelsea announce that Pedro will return to England after he suffered a concussion in their 3-0 pre-season friendly win over Arsenal in Beijing.

Chelsea have confirmed that Pedro will return to England after he suffered a concussion on the club's pre-season tour of Asia.

In the Blues' 3-0 win over Arsenal in Beijing on Saturday, the 29-year-old was injured following a collision with Gunners goalkeeper David Ospina.

A statement on Chelsea's official website read: "Pedro stayed in hospital overnight in Beijing for observation having sustained a concussion and facial injuries in last night's game against Arsenal. He will now return to London for further review."

Pedro also issued an update on his own social media page, writing: "What a shock! Fortunately everything is okay. Thanks for your messages."

Chelsea are scheduled to travel to Singapore on Sunday, where they face Bayern Munich two days later.
