Jose Mourinho responds to Yaya Toure's claims about 'disrespectful' Chelsea boss

Jose Mourinho responds to Yaya Toure's comments that the Chelsea boss is 'disrespectful' towards his Premier League rivals.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has hit back at Yaya Toure's claims that he is 'disrespectful' towards his Premier League rivals.

The Portuguese coach has constantly played down the Blues' chances of winning the Premier League title, despite currently being at the top of the table with a seven-point lead.

The former Real Madrid boss has suggested that it is Manchester City's title to lose, but midfielder Toure believes that Mourinho talks too much about his rivals.

According to BBC Sport, Mourinho responded to the comments in Friday's press conference by saying: "Man City have three matches in hand and they are capable of winning them and going top of the league if that is lack of respect it has a strange concept."

The 51-year-old also claimed that he was 'unhappy' to see Arsenal and Manchester City fail to reach the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

"I tried to be respectful with the two English teams," Mourinho added. "I want to say the same to Man United - I think they are a better team than Olympiacos. I wish Man United to do it. I support the English teams and was not happy they are out of the competition."

The Blues will travel to Aston Villa this weekend.
