Juan Mata insists that Fernando Torres will start to score soon.

Chelsea's Juan Mata has said that forward Fernando Torres will start to score on a regular basis soon.

The Spanish striker, who was recalled to the starting lineup to face Fulham earlier this week, has scored three times in 27 appearances for the Blues. However, teammate Mata insists that he was unfortunate not to score against the Cottagers.

"Fernando had a good movement to score earlier in the first half but the keeper saved," he said. "Fernando is working hard every day in training and for sure the goals will arrive soon.

"Fernando always has goals and for sure for Chelsea he has to score a lot of goals. Their goalkeeper made some very good saves so congratulations to him."

Mata has scored four goals in 16 appearances since arriving at Stamford Bridge this summer.
