Frank Lampard: 'Title race is still alive'

Man City midfielder Frank Lampard believes that the Premier League title race 'is still alive' after his side held leaders Chelsea to a 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge.

Manchester City midfielder Frank Lampard insists that the Premier League title race 'is still alive' after his side's 1-1 draw with leaders Chelsea on Saturday.

The result leaves Chelsea five points clear of their rivals after 23 games, but Blues legend Lampard is adamant that City remain in the title hunt.

"The draw keeps the league bubbling. Chelsea are obviously the favourites as they're five points ahead at this stage but today, we saw too good teams going at each other," Lampard said on the club's official website.

"It doesn't change anything and Chelsea will be happy with that but we can't be too upset.

"It's very cliche but that's the way it is and the games you least expect to be the difficult ones can be so, so who knows what will happen?"

Manchester City continue their season when they host struggling Hull City next Saturday.
