Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard admits that there is a "lovely buzz" at the club following Jose Mourinho's return.

Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard has claimed that there is a "lovely buzz" around the club following the return of manager Jose Mourinho.

The Blues got their Premier League campaign off to a winning start on Sunday thanks to a comfortable 2-0 victory at home to Hull City.

"There is a lovely buzz around the place," Lampard told the club's official website. "You can see what it means to [Mourinho]. All it needs now is for us to go and perform consistently and keep getting results."

Chelsea are back in league action on Wednesday when they welcome Aston Villa to Stamford Bridge.
