Frank Lampard has admitted that the prospect of winning the FA Cup and Champions League trophies has kept him awake at night.
Chelsea face Liverpool in the final of the FA Cup at Wembley this afternoon before taking on Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena in the Champions League on May 19.
Lampard, who has won three FA Cup medals with the Blues, said that he understands that Chelsea are on the verge of something special.
"I think about it in bed at night," said Lampard. "We all have those moments when you dream about being a big part of a successful game. I think about it every night, I really do. I've never been more aware about what a situation like this means.
"The FA Cup final is a game you are always going to want to win and it's a massive game against a big team. And then the Champions League is something we've always wanted and I'm actually desperate to win it. I make no bones about that.
"It doesn't annoy me when Liverpool fans say we've got no history [in the European Cup]. We are trying to create history this season. I think that's fans' banter and I think they deserve the right to crow about their own. But Chelsea fans should walk tall and have pride in what we have done, not just recently but over decades and decades here at the club."
Lampard has been a part of the setup at Stamford Bridge since 2001.
