Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic has warned English champions Manchester City that retaining their Premier League crown will be a very difficult task.
The 28-year-old Serbian was part of the Blues title-winning side in 2010. Chelsea finished nine points short of top spot at the end of the following season and Ivanovic thinks that City may experience a similar fate.
"It's going to be very tough for City," he said. "It was the same with us. When you win the league all the other teams, big or small, fight and have extra motivation against you.
"A lot of teams will be going for the title this season."
Chelsea and Man City will face each other in the Community Shield at Villa Park on August 12.
