New Chelsea captain Gary Cahill has admitted that the pressure is on his side to avoid a repeat of their last title defence during the upcoming campaign.
The Blues finished 10th in the Premier League table two seasons ago having lifted the trophy in the previous campaign, but they bounced back from that to finish seven points clear last term having won a record 30 games.
Chelsea's form during pre-season has not been convincing, though, and Cahill warned his teammates to learn from the mistakes they made in 2015-16.
"The pressure is on. We won something last season and this season [the pressure] will be no different," he is quoted as saying by the Evening Standard.
"We need to prepare well and to realise what happened the last time we won the title. There are still a lot of players here that were involved in that. They have had that experience and they don't want it again."
Chelsea will face Arsenal in the Community Shield on Sunday.
