Radamel Falcao has been handed his Chelsea debut as a half-time substitute during this afternoon's Community Shield at Wembley.
The Colombian spent last season on loan with Manchester United from Monaco, yet he was only able to find the net on four occasions for the Red Devils.
However, Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho was still convinced to secure the 29-year-old's services for the 2015-16 campaign on a similar type of deal that took him to Old Trafford 12 months ago.
Falcao started today's clash against Arsenal among the substitutes, but with the Blues trailing 1-0 at the break, he was brought on at the expense of Loic Remy.
