Cesc Fabregas: 'It's been a great season'

Cesc Fabregas insists that he is happy with Chelsea's season despite the team's early elimination from the Champions League.

Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas has given the team's double-winning season a rating of "seven or eight" out of 10.

The Blues recently clinched their first Premier League title since 2010, adding to the League Cup that they won earlier in the campaign.

However, Fabregas admits that the side's early elimination in the Champions League has been the biggest negative this term.

"If I have to give [our season] a score, I'd give a seven or eight. It has been a great season, winning two trophies," the Spanish international told radio station Cope.

"The only blow you can think about was the tie against Paris Saint-Germain. We were solid, consistent and we have competed very well, but that second leg is the negative thing I most remember from the season. I believe we should've done better, but it's a young team. The manager is building a new team based on the Chelsea of the past and I think that in the next few years we will be better."

Chelsea continue their Premier League campaign on May 18 when face West Bromwich Albion at The Hawthorns.
