Cesc Fabregas: 'Chelsea are more determined this season'

Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas tells his side's Premier League title rivals that his side are more focused than last season as they pursue further major honours.

Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas has warned his side's rivals for the Premier League title that he and his teammates are even more determined this season.

The Blues secured the top-flight crown for the first time in five years in the last campaign after leading from the first month of the season, while they also triumphed in the Capital One Cup.

Fabregas believes that his side are more than capable of repeating their feat in the Premier League because of their confidence in their teammates and manager Jose Mourinho.

He is quoted as saying by The Mirror: "We have even more drive and determination than last season. If we want to win we have to be more powerful to achieve things as other teams are progressing.

"But we are confident and the coach believes in the squad. He didn't make many changes so that means he is happy with us and we have to prove him right.

"We have Radamel Falcao and Asmir Begovic as well as young players like Victor Moses. So we have a good squad, fresh legs. We had a good rest – no Euros, no World Cups, no nothing."

Chelsea face off against Arsenal in the Community Shield later today.
