Chelsea frontman Didier Drogba admits that a Stamford Bridge return for Jose Mourinho would be "fun" but reiterated that he has only heard speculation.

Chelsea frontman Didier Drogba has said that a Stamford Bridge return for Jose Mourinho would be "fun".

Mourinho has been heavily linked with the post since the dismissal of Andre Villas-Boas a week ago.

However, the Portuguese coach, who is on the brink of guiding Real Madrid to La Liga glory, this week declared that he sees his future with Los Blancos.

Despite this, Ivorian forward Drogba would welcome a return to West London for Mourinho. He said: "I think there's a lot of speculation. Him, [Rafa] Benitez, all these managers.

"It would be nice, it would be fun for the story. Let's see what happens."

Blues skipper John Terry has also praised Mourinho but echoed Drogba in insisting that talk of a return is mere speculation.

He told Sky Sports News: "It's all speculation at the moment. Obviously [Mourinho] was a fantastic manager and a very good man manager as well."

Roberto di Matteo has taken temporary charge of Chelsea until the end of the season and will be hoping to turn around a 3-1 first-leg deficit when Napoli visit in a crucial last-16 Champions League tie on Wednesday.
