Alessandro Del Piero: 'Antonio Conte can win Premier League title next season'

Former teammate Alessandro Del Piero predicts that Antonio Conte could lead Chelsea to the Premier League title in his first season at Stamford Bridge.

Alessandro Del Piero has predicted that Chelsea will "probably" win the Premier League title next season if Antonio Conte can get his philosophy across to his players.

Between 1993 and 2004, Del Piero and Conte were teammates during a highly successful period for Juventus, and the former forward is full of praise for a coach who has left the Italian national team to move to Stamford Bridge.

The 41-year-old told Sky Sports News: "He's a good guy, he loves to work a lot.

"If he has a chance to talk to players in the right way, and if they understand what he wants, Chelsea can have a very good season and probably win the title."

Chelsea finished last season in 10th position, as many as 31 points behind Premier League champions Leicester City.
