Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has admitted that it is a "little bit weird" for him to play over Christmas as he is used to the winter break in Spain.
The 22-year-old has become the Blues' first-choice keeper this season after spending three loan spells at Atletico Madrid in La Liga.
Unlike Spain, there is a packed schedule over the festive period in the Premier League, with Chelsea due to take on Stoke City, West Ham United, Southampton and Tottenham Hotspur within 11 days.
"I like to play games but it's a little bit weird for me to play over Christmas," Courtois told the club's official website. "In Spain we normally played until December 22 and then had seven days free, so it's not a big difference - it's not a problem."
Chelsea, who will face Tottenham Hotspur at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday, currently have a six-point lead at the top of the league table.
