Conte coy on Oscar's Chelsea future

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has claimed that Oscar's "situation" at Stamford Bridge "will be clearer in the next few days".

The Brazilian international has struggled to win a spot in Conte's first XI since the Italian switched to a 3-4-3 formation, and it is understood that Chinese Super League side Shanghai SIPG are prepared to pay £52m to sign the midfielder in January.

When questioned on the 25-year-old's situation on Friday afternoon, Conte said that an announcement on the midfielder's future would follow in the coming days.

"The situation with Oscar, I think it will be clearer in the next few days," Conte told reporters. "Oscar started the season very well with us when we played with a 4-3-3 and he played very well.

"Then when I switched to another system, another formation, he didn't play a lot. But I always counted on him because Oscar is a really good player."

Oscar joined Chelsea from Internacional in the summer of 2012 and has scored 38 times in 202 appearances for the Premier League outfit.
