Chelsea defender Ashley Cole sings the praises of winger Eden Hazard after the Belgian recorded a goal and yet another assist in his side's 2-0 win over Newcastle.

Chelsea defender Ashley Cole has hailed Eden Hazard after the winger was once again instrumental in helping Chelsea record a win today.

Hazard, who picked up five assists in his first two Premier League games, won a penalty and scored a goal in his side's 2-0 win over Newcastle United this evening.

Cole believes that Chelsea's perfect start to the season owes a lot to the performances of the 21-year-old, and said that he was "proud" to play alongside him.

"I think he deserves a lot of credit for the start to the season we've had," Cole said. "He's won two penalties, got two assists and now a goal - it's phenomenal.

"We're proud to have this guy in the team and hopefully he can keep doing it."

Chelsea now sit top of the Premier League table, and will turn their attention to European matters as they face Atletico Madrid in the Super Cup on Friday.
