Chelsea have reportedly emerged as a potential next destination for German coach Julian Nagelsmann following his dismissal from Bayern Munich on Friday afternoon.
The 35-year-old joined the Bavarians in the summer of 2021 and guided the club to another Bundesliga title in the 2021-22 campaign ahead of perennial challengers Borussia Dortmund.
The former Hoffenheim boss has only taken charge of clubs in his homeland during his short managerial career to date, although reports are suggesting that may be about to change.
According to Football Insider, Premier League outfit Chelsea are monitoring the situation of Nagelsmann following his departure from the Bundesliga champions.
The report also claims that Nagelsmann is Tottenham Hotspur's number-one choice to replace Antonio Conte if the Italian were to leave the club, meaning Chelsea could be set to scupper their local rivals' plans.
Despite Graham Potter coming under pressure during his spell as Blues boss, it is believed owner Todd Boehly would like to give the ex-Brighton & Hove Albion boss a full summer with his squad ahead of the 2023-24 campaign.
