Chelsea: 'Boxing Day game goes ahead'

Chelsea have confirmed that their Boxing Day fixture against Fulham will go ahead, despite planned tube strikes.

Concerns had been raised that supporters would struggle to get to Stamford Bridge for the match without the availability of public transport.

However, after consulting with the local authority, Metropolitan Police and transport authorities, the Blues have decided that the match can be played.

The club have advised fans attending the game to monitor transport websites and to allow plenty of time for their journey.
