Chelsea's board are reportedly unhappy with Maurizio Sarri's decision to criticise his players this season, in addition to his treatment of Callum Hudson-Odoi.

Chelsea's hierarchy are reportedly unhappy with head coach Maurizio Sarri's decision to criticise his players on several occasions this season, in addition to his treatment of Callum Hudson-Odoi.

The London outfit will contest the EFL Cup final against Manchester City later this month, but the Blues have only won one of their last four in the Premier League, losing their last two.

Sarri criticised his players in the aftermath of the 2-0 defeat to Arsenal last month, before taking a similar stance following the 4-0 loss at Bournemouth on Wednesday night.

According to The Times, Sarri will be given the opportunity to turn things around at Chelsea, but the board have been unhappy with his decision to criticise his players on several occasions.

Meanwhile, the same report claims that Sarri's decision to only use Hudson-Odoi sparingly in the Premier League this season has not gone down well with the club's hierarchy.

Hudson-Odoi was strongly linked with a move to Bayern Munich during the January transfer window, but the 18-year-old will spend at least the rest of this season with the Blues.

Chelsea are back in Premier League action at home to Huddersfield Town on Saturday afternoon.
