Cech named Czech Player of the Year

Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech has been named the Czech Republic's Player of the Year for an eighth time.

It is the fourth consecutive occasion that the 32-year-old has been awarded the accolade by his country.

The goalkeeper recently earned his 100th cap for the Czechs, having made his senior debut in 2002.

Cech collected his 13th major honour for Chelsea last month as they defeated Benfica to win the Europa League.
