Petr Cech: 'Chelsea used to busy schedule'

Petr Cech insists that Chelsea will not be affected by their busy Christmas schedule.

Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech has insisted that the team will not be affected by their busy schedule over Christmas.

The Blues play the first of four games in 13 days tonight when they travel to Sunderland in the League Cup quarter-finals.

Despite a hectic series of fixtures coming up, Cech is confident that the squad can cope with the demands.

"We are a team who, in the last 10 years, have had a busy schedule, so we are used to it," he told the club's official website.

"We have to know how to play games every third day and for the teams who are not used to that it can be tricky. We know what to expect and we have the squad to get through it."

Chelsea return to Premier League action on Monday when they face Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.
