Thibaut Courtois extends stay at Atletico Madrid

Belgian goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has extended his loan spell at Atletico Madrid for another season.

The Chelsea youngster impressed as part of the team that were crowned Europa League champions and Atletico were eager to keep him for an extra year.

Courtois kept 15 clean sheets in 37 appearances for Madrid and also made his international debut for Belgium.

The 20-year-old joined Chelsea from Racing Genk last summer but hasn't made a senior appearance for the Blues.
