Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is believed to be willing to give Andre Villas-Boas time to turn things around at Stamford Bridge.
The Portuguese manager has been hit with criticism after Chelsea's recent slump in the Premier League, which has left the London side twelve points adrift of league leaders Manchester City.
While Abramovich is known to be impatient when it comes to the club's managers, the Russian billionaire is placing blame on the players rather than Villas-Boas, according to the Daily Mail.
The businessman is thought to be confident that the former Porto boss can rejuvenate the aging squad and get the Blues back to their best.
