Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has confirmed that Diego Costa has been withdrawn from the squad for this afternoon's Community Shield at Wembley because of a hamstring injury.
On Friday, Mourinho claimed that the Spanish striker would be fit for the encounter against Arsenal, despite the fact that he had picked up a knock during a recent pre-season friendly.
However, during an interview before today's game, the Chelsea boss revealed that Costa had pulled out because of "discomfort in his hamstring".
