Chelsea team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Sheffield United

Sports Mole rounds up all of Chelsea's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Sunday's Premier League clash with Sheffield United.

Fresh on the back of seeing off Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea travel to the Premier League's bottom side Sheffield United on Sunday evening in their next outing.

The Blues beat their London rivals 1-0 through a first-half penalty from Jorginho to move to within four points of the top four.

Thomas Tuchel's men have six more games to play in a congested February, but the recently-appointed German coach has a few injury issues to deal with.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of Chelsea's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the trip to Bramall Lane.

Thiago Silva

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Thigh
Possible return date: February 7 (vs. Sheffield United)

Thiago Silva appeared to injure his thigh when stretching for a ball in the win over Tottenham and was replaced by Andreas Christensen. Asked if the veteran centre-back will be fit to play against Sheff Utd, Tuchel said "it will be very tight".

Kurt Zouma

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Knock
Possible return date: February 7 (vs. Sheffield United)

Kurt Zouma sustained a knock during a training session on the eve of the Spurs match and played no part at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The defender will continue to be assessed ahead of Sunday's clash.

Kai Havertz

Like Zouma, Kai Havertz also limped out of training on Wednesday and is considered doubtful for this trip to Yorkshire. The attacking midfielder has one goal and two assists in 18 Premier League appearances this term.

Chelsea have no players suspended for this showdown with Sheffield United.
