Team News: Chelsea make three changes for Aston Villa FA Cup tie

Chelsea make three changes for Villa FA Cup tie

Chelsea have made three changes for Friday's FA Cup fourth round tie against Aston Villa at Stamford Bridge.

On Tuesday night, the Blues ran out 6-1 victors against Middlesbrough in the second leg of their EFL Cup semi-final, with the manner of the game allowing Mauricio Pochettino to rest players in the second half.

However, the Argentine has still opted to make several alterations to his side, including bringing back Conor Gallagher into the midfield.

Benoit Badiashile has been handed a start in the centre of defence, with Levi Colwill moving to left-back, while Noni Madueke will start on the right flank.

Ben Chilwell, Mykhaylo Mudryk and Armando Broja are the players to drop down to the substitutes' bench.

Meanwhile, Unai Emery has made two changes to the Aston Villa side that started the goalless draw at Everton on January 14.

Diego Carlos and Leon Bailey are the players to miss out, with the centre-back and winger only being selected among the replacements.

Matty Cash comes into the team at right-back, with Ezri Konsa being restored to the middle of the defence, while Youri Tielemans is named in midfield.

Chelsea: Petrovic; Disasi, Silva, Badiashile, Colwill; Caicedo, Gallagher, Fernandez; Madueke, Palmer, Sterling

Subs: Bergstrom, Gilchrist, Chilwell, Williams, Chukwuemeka, Castledine, Mudryk, Washington, Broja

Aston Villa: Martinez; Cash, Konsa, Lenglet, Moreno; McGinn, Kamara, Luiz, Tielemans; Diaby, Watkins

Subs: Olsen, Wright, Carlos, Chambers, Zaniolo, Bailey, Iroegbunam, Munroe, Kellyman
