Petr Cech: "It was a great win"

Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech has expressed his happiness following his side's 1-0 victory over Manchester United in the quarter-final of the FA Cup earlier today.

A second-half volley from Demba Ba was enough to secure the win for the Blues, who had Cech to thank for keeping them in front when he pulled off a one-handed save to deny Javier Hernandez from close range.

"It was a great win. There is only one way to win the cup, we had to win the game and we did in good fashion. We love Wembley, we respect the FA Cup as a whole and we always want to win," he told ITV Sport.

"For my save it was a great ball into the box and I just went as fast as I could and let me left arm do the job and luckily I was able to reach it."

Chelsea have won the competition on seven occasions.
