Half-Time Report: Oscar goal puts Chelsea ahead in FA Cup tie

Chelsea have a 1-0 half-time lead against Stoke City thanks to Oscar's free kick.

Chelsea are beating Stoke City 1-0 at half time in their FA Cup match at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues started brightly and Samuel Eto'o had the first effort of the match, dragging a shot wide after turning in the box.

It was then Stoke's turn to threaten, but Peter Crouch could only direct his header narrowly wide after getting in front of his marker.

The next chance came with 15 minutes played when Andre Schurrle was denied by Ryan Shawcross in the box.

The opening goal soon came, however, and it was Oscar who got it, bending a free kick past the dive of Asmir Begovic from around 25 yards out.

Chelsea almost doubled their lead before the break, but Oscar smacked the post with a ferocious drive and Frank Lampard lifted his effort over the bar from 18 yards.
