Branislav Ivanovic: 'Chelsea deserve Europa League glory'

Branislav Ivanovic has insisted that Chelsea are worthy Europa League champions following their triumph over Benfica.

The Serbian defender scored in the second minute of injury time on Thursday night to give the Blues a 2-1 victory over their Portuguese opponents in Amsterdam.

"It's a very great thing. We deserve this," Ivanovic told ITV Sport. "It's been a difficult season with a lot of games. Today was a very hard game but we scored from two set pieces. We deserve to get the trophy."

Oscar Cardozo's penalty had cancelled out Fernando Torres's opener before Ivanovic netted the winner at the Amsterdam ArenA.
