The summer transfer window has now begun, with rumours and speculation continuing to swirl as Chelsea eye possible reinforcements.
The Blues failed to bring in a single player during the January window, despite seeing their transfer ban cut short by FIFA, but have already been busy this summer.
Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest news on possible comings and goings from Stamford Bridge.
Tuesday morning's Chelsea transfer talk news roundup:
Report: Edouard Mendy undergoing Chelsea medical ahead of move from Rennes
Edouard Mendy is reportedly undergoing a medical at Chelsea ahead of completing a switch from Ligue 1 side Rennes.
The Blues are believed to have already agreed terms with the goalkeeper and his club on a deal worth up to £22m.
Sky Sports News claims that Mendy arrived in London on Monday to put the finishing touches to the transfer, which is expected to be announced on Tuesday.
Senegal international Mendy is expected to go straight into Chelsea's starting lineup following another calamitous display from Kepa Arrizabalaga in Sunday's defeat to Liverpool.
Frank Lampard is said to have previously targeted Mike Maignan, but Lille's £32m valuation put Chelsea off making a move.
Mendy kept nine clean sheets in 24 Ligue 1 appearances in 2019-20 and has featured once for Rennes so far this season.
Report: Real Madrid striker Luka Jovic rejected Chelsea move
Luka Jovic reportedly rejected the chance to join Chelsea earlier this summer as he is determined to prove himself at Real Madrid.
The Serbia international endured a tough first campaign at the Bernabeu after joining from Eintracht Frankfurt in a big-money deal last year.
Jovic managed two goals in 27 appearances in all competitions and was widely expected to move on before the 2020-21 campaign started.
However, Spanish outlet AS claims that the 22-year-old turned down the opportunity to revive his career away from Madrid.
Chelsea are said to have made an approach before agreeing a deal to sign Timo Werner from RB Leipzig, while AC Milan, Napoli and Monaco also showed an interest.
Jovic was kept on the bench as Madrid played out a goalless draw with Real Sociedad in their opening La Liga game of the season on Sunday.
Speaking after the game, boss Zinedine Zidane denied having any issues with the former Benfica player.
