Six changes for Chelsea

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has made six changes to his starting lineup for tonight's Champions League encounter at home to Sporting Lisbon.

Cesar Azpilicueta, Gary Cahill, John Obi Mikel, Cesc Fabregas and Diego Costa are the players who keep their places in the side following last weekend's 2-1 defeat at Newcastle United in the Premier League.

Petr Cech, Filipe Luis, Nemanja Matic and Kurt Zouma are among the players who have been brought in by Mourinho, who has also named youngsters Mitchell Beeney and Ruben Loftus-Cheek on the bench.

Chelsea are already assured of a first-place finish in Group G, but Sporting travel to Stamford Bridge still needing to secure a spot in the last 16.

Sporting Lisbon: Patricio; Mauricio, Oliveira, Silva, Esgaio; Carvalho, Mario, Silva, Slimani, Capel; Carrillo Subs: Marcelo, Sarr, Andre Geraldes, Andre Martins, Oriol Rosell, Montero, Carlos Mane
