Diego Costa: "We gave absolutely everything"

Atletico Madrid striker Diego Costa says that the team gave "absolutely everything" to beat Chelsea 3-1 in their Champions League semi-final.

Diego Costa has said that Atletico Madrid gave "absolutely everything" to secure a place in the final of the Champions League.

The La Liga leaders beat Chelsea 3-1 at Stamford Bridge in the second leg of their semi-final this evening to set up a clash with Real Madrid in Lisbon next month.

The striker, who scored the second of the team's three goals, told reporters: "We gave absolutely everything to get to this final. We remained calm when Fernando Torres scored because we knew that with just one goal we could get through."

This year's final will be the first to be contested by two sides from the same city.
