Charlton Athletic have signed Danish striker Simon Makienok from Palermo on a season-long loan.
The 24-year-old, who stands at 6'7", leaves Palermo for 2015-16 after failing to make a start or score in his first season in Serie A following a switch from Brondby a year ago.
"We now have a player who finally fills that number nine position we have been searching for," Charlton boss Guy Luzon told the club website.#ObligatoryScarfyPhoto #cafc pic.twitter.com/q5ztqe24Bg

"He will make us stronger in attack and his height will give us a very different threat which defenders will find difficult to play against, but he is very good with his feet also."
Makienok will become Charlton's tallest ever first-team player.
